Meet Dr. Julio Pino. He’s an associate professor at Kent State University in Ohio. It says so right here. He teaches history to Kent students. You know, that objective study of past event, seen through the cold eye of unbiased scholarship?

And Kent State gets a good chunk of money from the good taxpayers of Ohio. I’m not sure exactly how much, but I don’t think it is trivial. This seems to suggest around $60 million or so.

So, is Kent State exercising good judgment by continuing to employ a man selling training manuals and jihadi videos on-line? When a parent signs a tuition check, are they aware of what their kid is learning?

The fair also has its darker sides, with anti-Christian polemics advocating conversion to Islam as the only solution to a flawed religion and of course plenty of editions of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” for sale.

And since we’re on the subject of Hitler, here’s a rather overwrought Flash presentation that illustrates some Islamic love for the Third Reich.  As people love to point out, ‘my struggle’ translates as ‘jihad’.

And as always, my disclaimer.  Not all Muslims are frothing jihadis, but this mess is a problem only solved by Muslims who actually care about their faith.  Germans didn’t solve Nazism, and I doubt they enjoyed the external solution imposed upon them.  I hope the rational Muslims take heed soon.

While I’m no fan of Obama, there are some questions about these rumors. Latest indications that while Obama did attend an Islamic school on Indonesia, it was not a Wahhabi madrassa. While this doesn’t immediately dismiss concerns I have, it is important to be accurate when considering the issue.

As for his current faith, I don’t know…and I’m not sure that I care. Obviously electing an Islamic President would be a curious move, but I don’t think a truly Islamic candidate can get elected to such a high office. A congressman is one thing, President is something else entirely.

Besides, Hillary is on the prowl. Did you know that this nugget of news (Obama’s Islamic past) came out of Hillary’s camp? Her team put it out there in front of the press. If Obama is compromised, leave it to the most aggressive, tone-deaf woman in the world to make sure it hits the headlines, especially if Obama leads her in the polls.

Fascinating campaign season ahead…

As I noted in an earlier post, France is ‘observing’ the one-year anniversary of the incident that prompted unprecedented rioting (and it should be noted the rioting never really ceased, with 100 cars per night torched in France by roving gangs of “North African” youths). Do you recall the trigger incident?

Two French immigrant teenagers, hiding from police, took refuge in an electrical sub-station (bypassing warnings, fences etc…) and electrocuted themselves.

Why, that certainly justifies weeks of rioting, doesn’t it? What more do you need?

Now, one year later, the ‘youths’ get a nice memorial and a wreath is laid at the sub-station.

Note the icons on the sign.  I think they translate as “Don’t touch due to risk of death by electrocution – unless you are a Muslim under the protection of Allah, in which case have at it.”  Shocking how these infidel signs lie so openly.

Relatives and friends of two French teenagers who were electrocuted as they fled from police a year ago have gathered in Clichy-sous-Bois near Paris. A plaque was unveiled in front of their school, and a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the power sub-station where the teenagers tried to hide.

We’re seeing this sort of thing all over Europe – Muslim immigrants refusing to assimilate with the culture of their new nation, and finding themselves marginalized, isolated, and unable to access the economy. Certainly xenophobia has something to do with their problems, but I don’t think it is the primary cause.

Muslim ‘leaders’ all over Europe have established cultures within cultures. The Muslim Parliament of England establishes such in their Muslim Manifesto – A Strategy for Survival. What does survival mean?

Survival does not mean physical “safety”, or a set of guarantees in such matters as “equal opportunities”, or the verbiage put out by the Race Relations industry, as Islam does not fit into any of their neat categories. Equally, British law does not, and cannot be expected to, provide an adequate framework for our survival. Recent events (note this was written in the early 1990′s – TW) should leave no one in any doubt that the British Government is prepared to use the law against us as an instrument of oppression. The only survival kit that will work is the one that is entirely community based and integrated with a global Islamic movement that protects us in the way France or Russia once claimed to be the “protectors” of Christian communities in the Middle East. The shield of Islam is our only protection under all circumstances. Survival within Islam is the only form of survival that has any meaning. If we protect Islam, Islam willprotect us. If we weaken our links with Islam we shall be swallowed up.

The Manifesto is a call to establish distinct, Muslim identities within western nations, in order to preserve Islamic identity, shape national policies to align with Islamic goals, and to provide Muslims with shadow representation – a parallel government. Once again, this is not a fringe element of Islam, but a collection of mainstream Muslims laying out the ‘law’ by which good Muslims can exist within the western world. Normally, I would be open to the idea, if it led to a reconciliation of Islam with western freedoms.

Unfortunately, a selection of quotes from the Manifesto doesn’t offer much encouragement.

Muslims living under the protection of a non-Muslim State must obey the laws of that State, so long as such obedience does not conflict with their commitment to Islam and the Ummah. Other minorities in Britain, notably Jews and Roman Catholics, do the same. There are laws on the British Statute Book that are in direct conflict with the laws of Allah; these relate to such matters as usury, abortion, homosexuality, gambling, sale and consumption of alcohol, and the abolition of capital punishment; Muslims can neither agree with nor condone any part of a legal and social agenda which so flagrantly violates the laws of nature as well as of God.

Every Muslim, man or woman, must practice Islam in all its dimensions in order to achieve the greatest possible degree of taqwa in his/her private, personal, family, social and professional life …
2. Every Muslim must pursue excellence in all departments of life, especially in the acquisition of all-round knowledge …
3. Every Muslim must ensure that his/her and his/her family’s private and public life be committed to the pursuit of Allah’s good pleasure alone …

7. Jihad is a basic requirement of Islam and living in Britain or having British nationality by birth or naturalisation does not absolve the Muslim from his or her duty to participate in jihad: this participation can be active service in armed struggle abroad and/or the provision of material and

While this document isn’t calling for mass revolt or violent jihad in Europe, it does establish a Muslim obligation to avoid the traditional assimilation of immigrants into their new culture. Establishing a separate, parallel culture, a state within a state, will eventually lead to fatal schisms within any nation. Muslims aren’t coming to Europe to be European – they are colonizing Europe.

And the French riots are just another step in that process. They claim to be fighting for jobs, training and acceptance, yet Europe cannot give them what they want without fatally undermining what it means to be European. Read the section of the Manifesto about The Satanic Verses – the only acceptable outcome was the withdrawal of the book, the pulping of all issues, and damages paid to the Muslim world. Another section calls for ‘no go’ zones where ‘freedom of speech’ will not be tolerated.

I know I sound alarmist. I know a lot of you think I’m nuts, or a bigot at worst. Unfortunately, the problems ahead are real, and idealism isn’t going to solve anything.

Total number of attacks on police in 2004: 3,842. In 2005: 4,246. Through the first six months of 2006: 2,458. An official from one police union says the “youths” are known to yell “Allah Akbar” while attacking.

Certainly not helpful. But it does illustrate a point. Muslims rallied in large numbers during the recent Cartoon War, with similar messages.

Notice the cop springing into action to arrest the bearer of this inflammatory slogan.

What’s going on here?

Complainant Ian Pennington said the banner was pointed out to him by his coalman, and he later went for a closer look and wrote down the words.

Replying to Miss Hughes he said: “I thought it was stupid and a rather silly and ridiculous thing to do.

“This could have come to the attention of Islamic extremists, and we could have had a visitation,” he said.

You have to love the British understatement. A ‘visitation’ is something I usually associate with a divorced couple arguing over access to the kids, not so much as a murderous rampage by a theologically crazed killer.

So, let’s recap -

1). Carry a threatening sign and have a history of following through on threats – you can march in Piccadilly.

2). Hang a threatening sign and otherwise be a reasonable citizen – you have to be punished to keep those of the first instance from popping in for a ‘visitation’.

I think I understand.

So, the kidnappers are making it pretty clear: Italian Journalist, or Muslim Apostate – someone’s gonna die.

Interestingly enough, the Koran has no death penalty for apostasy. But one of the Sunnahs does.

If you are just learning about Islam, you really need to read more than just the Koran. Muslims take these ancillary works just as seriously as the Koran, and those texts are littered with atrocity. You would be well served to understand these things.

Guess how many French Police have been wounded this year in attacks by Muslims living in French cities?

Radical Muslims in France’s housing estates are waging an undeclared “intifada” against the police, with violent clashes injuring an average of 14 officers each day.

As the interior ministry said that nearly 2,500 officers had been wounded this year, a police union declared that its members were “in a state of civil war” with Muslims in the most depressed “banlieue” estates which are heavily populated by unemployed youths of north African origin.

The article goes on to to quote Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy saying France is facing an ‘intifada’.

I’m really worried about the future of Europe, as noted in this post. I don’t think most Americans are really aware of the encirclement of major European cities by slums of unassimilated, insular Islamic immigrants, many of which have no intention of learning the local language or absorbing the customs and laws of their new nation.

Islam will not destroy the West through military conquest. They’ll simply out-breed us.
