Voter Intimidation? Nah….

It just keeps getting worse.

Justice Department political appointees overruled career lawyers and ended a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense of wielding a nightstick and intimidating voters at a Philadelphia polling place last Election Day, according to documents and interviews.

The incident – which gained national attention when it was captured on videotape and distributed on YouTube – had prompted the government to sue the men, saying they violated the 1965 Voting Rights Act by scaring would-be voters with the weapon, racial slurs and military-style uniforms.

Those silly career lawyers wanted to actually, you know, enforce the law.  Thank goodness those political appointees came along and set them straight about the new legality of voter intimidation.

Hope and change.

Just curious but I wonder how this would have went if it were white supremicists doing this in the other direction. I am not for either side but seems that systems, laws and organizations started years ago to bring system back into balance are not tipping very much so in the opposite direction. Maybe it is time for a million white man march. Racism and prejudice are the same no matter which side is the victim but seems for too long as white males we are becoming more and more the victim of racism and prejudice at the hands of the government we support. The law is the law no matter what your race, religion, sex and it is time we start making it that way.
