GOP Meltdown
January 22nd, 2008 | by Todd W |I can’t really find a single good thing to say about the current state of politics. The GOP has manifestly disappointed me with the slate of candidates (Fred Thompson could have done it for me, but he ran a lousy campaign). McCain is a RINO, Huckabee is the worst thing we could have, Romney strikes me as a used car salesman, Giuliani is pretty left-ish and probably not acceptable to the party (and for the life of me I can’t figure out why someone who is left of Giuliani does okay so long as he has the word ‘Christian’ next to his name e.g. Huckabee). It is just a lousy slate of people, and it is clear that the party of Reagan died some time ago.
Voters get the party we deserve.
