The 300
The Battle of Thermopylae has always been an object of fascination for me. It is probably the single most famous last stand in human history, and while the 300 died to the last man, they literally saved the nucleus of what would later become Western Civilization. I’d love to read a treatment of how the world would have played out had the 300 packed it in and went home.
When I first saw the trailer for 300, I was hooked. Visually, the film looks stunning. With a mix of super-human characters, elements of Greek mythology, and a general larger than life appearance of the conflict, this looks like a really fun movie. I know next to nothing of the graphic novel that inspired the film, but I’m certainly open to taking a look after seeing the trailer.
