‘Okinawa’ John Murtha
November 15th, 2006 | by Todd W |The Democrats are holding their elections for House leadership positions tomorrow, and John Murtha seems to be the front-runner for the Majority Leader slot. I thought it would be a good time to post this little nugget from the past, from June of this year.
Okinawa is 4,900 miles from Baghdad, straight line…which means we fly over China, and Iran. Even at Mach 1, we’re talking seven hours, one way, and God knows how many refueling sessions.
Say what you want about withdrawing from Iraq, but going to Okinawa to maintain a presence in the Middle East? Come on, Democrats, you gotta have a deeper bench than this for the #2 slot!
