218 Chickens – Still In Shells

There are some fascinating rumblings emanating from the far Left Blogosphere regarding next weeks elections. I’ve already posted my concession that the House and maybe the Senate are about to change hands, and I still think that holds.

But the past two months of conventional wisdom regarding a Leftward landslide is starting to wear a bit as polls seem to be tightening all over the nation. Now that the Left has embraced the certainty of victory, there’s a small chance it might not happen.

So the dark mutterings of ‘Rovian conspiracy’ and ‘Diebold trickery’ are making the rounds. Should the landslide not happen, then obviously something sinister occurred.

If for whatever reason we don’t win back Congress in November the only real answer will be to take to the streets.

When did pre-election polls become more important than actual elections? When did elections become ‘a mandate from the people’ when the Left wins, and ‘evidence of fascism and the loss of freedoms’ when the Left loses?

So is the political platform of the Far Left Nutroots (normal Democrats exempt of course) – “Give us our win – or else!”?
