August 23rd, 2006 | by Todd W |August 22nd has come and gone and we’re all still here. I guess the Hidden Imam took a look at the state of the Islamic world and decided he really wasn’t interested in returning to lead it into the future.
Who can blame him?
Iran finally gave an answer about the Great Nuclear Question.
Iran said Tuesday it was ready for “serious negotiations” on its nuclear program, offering a new formula to resolve a crisis with the West. A semiofficial news agency said the government was unwilling to abandon uranium enrichment - the key U.S. demand.
‘Serious negotiations’?
To quote a great line: “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
So Iran plays the UN again and gains another year of pointless negotiation, while they continue to move along with their program. The world will sit by and let it drag out, as long as we avoid any nasty conflict…until the nasty conflict comes along with thermonuclear punctuation.
