WordPress Made Easy

If you have ever read my blog and thought “I can do better than that” (and who hasn’t, honestly?), here is a really nice screencast tutorial on installing WordPress and getting things configured for your very own blog.

I’ve been on Blogger, Movable Type and now WordPress.  When it come to ease of use and power, WordPress is the clear winner.  You Movable Type types can wage jihad in the comment section if you like.  WordPress is very easy to use, and the user community has done a great job in providing easy to install extensions.

Unlike Movable Type, which reminds me of Linux when it comes to getting anything to work.

And yes, everything mentioned above is free.  All you need is a server, which might run you $3-$5 a month if you look around.  I recommend Living Dot (my host).  They run about $10 a month, but you get a lot for the money.

Blog away.  And send me a link.
