Another Rejection

May 30th, 2006 | by Todd W |

It has been awhile, but back in October I received an encouraging email from Dark Wisdom Magazine about a story submission. Today, the final word came back.

Todd,

Thank you for submitting “Allgemeine Kosten” to Dark Wisdom. Your submission has been in the final reading pool, which is an accomplishment – given the hundreds of submissions seen each month.

This is a singular tale, with a very interesting setting. However, it doesn’t quite fit the style of the magazine, so I must pass on it.

There is no flaw I can point to that is keeping it out of the magazine. Rather, it is just a sense of tone/mood. It is very original, but not quite a match for Dark Wisdom.

I do hope you submit again in the future. And I’m certain you’ll find a home for this work in another market.

Best,

William

Probably my best rejection yet. Nothing to do but keep at it. The piece in question is posted in the Fiction section on the header tab.
