The New Toy
Last Saturday, I finally had to go buy a new USB flash drive, as my three year old 64 MB wiped itself out. Since I can’t trust it to carry data, it was time to replace it.
The new Flash Drive (512 MB SanDisk) lasted six days before dying! It simply stopped working. Gidman blames it on the Eminem songs.
So, I decided to take a different rout and picked up the above gadget Sunday. 5 GB on an actual hard disk, and still small enough to fit in my pocket easily. I haven’t felt this flush with geek testosterone since buying the laptop last year. I don’t know what I’ll DO with 5 GB, but it is nice to know I’m walking around with enough storage space to hold an entire movie (provided it is a single layer DVD….and compressed, just a little….ok, but it is still a LOT of storage!).
