A Katrina Commission
September 5th, 2005 | by Todd W |Hillary Clinton is calling for a Federal Probe into what went wrong with Katrina.
I agree with her!
Unfortunately, I doubt such a probe would look into the serious failing of the New Orleans and Louisiana governments. Usually such a probe is nothing more than a partisan circus of finger pointing.
But certainly an honest inquiry is both welcome and essential.

One Response to “A Katrina Commission”

I just read this article. She is calling for a probe into the FEDERAL government’s response. Apparently she doesn’t think there is a need for a probe into the LOCAL government’s response. She apparently thinks it is the Federal government’s job (which really amounts to “everyone else”) to take care of us when we do something stupid like live in a flood basin without insurance, party in the face of a hurricane, and ignore what the local officials are doing with our money. I suppose if she feels that way, it’s her right.
Clearly, another political witch hunt. It’s all a bunch of crap. Really.
It makes me want to vomit. In fact, here I go…
…ah, much better.
Here’s a thought. Let’s start shooting people. Anybody. Anywhere. It probably won’t help the politcal situation any, but man, I bet I’d feel a lot better about it. On second thought, it would. I’m sure that odds are better than 75% that you’d pick off an idiot, especially in New York, Detroit, or California. Hey, maybe that’s why they shot at rescue helicopters in N’Orlinz!
Hmmm… where did I put that 30-06…?
