Attitudes
Watching a combonation of CNN and Fox tonight (that’ll make your head spin!), when I hear the following comment from a New Orleans refugee now in Houston.
“Houston did it’s job.”
Excuse me??
I’m glad Houston and other cities are stepping up, but since when is it the ‘job’ of others to step in and take care of those that failed to plan, heed warnings, or hold thier own government accountable?
All sympathy to New Orleans (and it is becoming more and more difficult to have sympathy when madmen are shooting at rescuers, or thugs are raping women in shelters), but I am disturbed by this attitude that the rest of the US is responsible for what is going on in New Orleans.
Houston is doing ‘it’s job’. When will the able-bodied victims in New Orleans do ‘their job’ and start acting like Men again?
