Vladimir Putin: A Moonbat?

Rating the Roadshow

Vladimir Putin offered up a revealing, if not outright disturbing, comment during his meeting with Bush last week.

When Bush confronted his Russian counterpart about the freedom of the press in Russia, Putin shot back with an attack of his own: “We didn’t criticize you when you fired those reporters at CBS.”

Has Putin ingested too much Michael Moorish moonbat fantasy? Does the head of a former superpower really believe the President of the United States fired a bunch of CBS reporters? Does the Daily Kos publish in Russian?

Or does this comment speak more to the heart of Mr. Putin, revealing his natural inclination to control the press? I’m not entirely surprised to find Putin, in his heart of hearts, still figurative patrolling the halls of Lubyanka, exercising his totalitarian impulse.

Make no mistake, Russia is not yet a free nation. Not so long as former apparatchiks like Putin still run the show.
