In the post-speech sample, 70 percent of respondents said Bush’s policies on health care were positive, while 66 percent approved of the president’s plan for Social Security.
Two thirds are now open minded to Social Security reform and limited privatization. While it isn’t a slam dunk, I’m questioning the sanity of the Democrats in getting in the way of this. But then again, what do they have left if Social Security is taken away from them as an issue?
